I used to eat a lot of unhealthy food. I had bad skin and was overweight. About 2 years ago I completely re-vamped my lifestyle, started taking regular walks along the coast which soon turned into longer jogs. I joined the gym and started reading nutrition books. I now attend 2 - 3 spinning classes a week followed by an ab workout class. I walk for about a half hour every day too. I drink 2 - 2 & 1/2 litres of water a day, usually start my morning with a bowl off all bran with unsweetened soya milk and a vitamin C. In every other meal I include a large salad with chicken or turkey and usually a wrap or ryvita. I eat every 3 hours so that I won't get too hungry and end up eating too much. I like to snack on fruit or eat natural bars between meals. I like the occasional protein bar too! After 2 years of this new lifestyle I am 4 stone lighter and have clear skin and wear a size 6-8 jeans. I will never look back because I've never been happier!

Plenty of water, sleep and fresh air along with a healthy diet and a little help from supplements.
lots of sleep, lots of water and lots of laughter
In the last few years, I have become a lot more conscious of my health. I try to eat fresh fish, fruit and veg and whilegrains every day. I love my treats too! I often call into nourish to graze on some healthy snacks. I believe multi vitamins make a huge difference to your health also. They make me feel more confident when I'm really busy working or playing. I know that I'm getting a great boost of nutrients to help me through a busy spell.
I love exercise and walk every day. I go to the gym too as it's a great way to vary your exercise routine-swimming, jogging, weights, aerobics, yoga. Whatever I'm in the mood for.
I surround myself with happy loving friends, family and pets. I try my best not to stress but find this difficult. A healthy mind is essential for a healthy body. I have fun. I love life and meeting new people and trying new things. I try to stay positive and I'm very thankful for all the wonderful things in my life. Life is short and precious. It's essential to love your body and keep it healthy so you can live life to the full.
I take Wheetgrass twice a day and eat as healthily as I can . I've been doing lots of long walks in this fabulous sunny weather we've been having.
Quite simply moderation is the key, balanced diet, excercise and a little of what you fancy does you good Niamh barron
To wake up feeling grateful for having a wonderful new day ahead. To have a few minutes to meditate and say thanks to God. To drink a pint water with a slice of lemon to balance the body. To get outdoors for a quick walk and run and get the body moving. Appreciate the beauty of nature. Take deep breaths to lift the mood and energise the body. To shower , use natural body washes/lotions and feel refreshed. Eat porridge, flaxseeds and berries to get set up for the day. To take good quality supplements with a super smoothie. Drink lots of water throught the day. Eat a good balanced diet with plenty of green veg. Deep breath through stressful moments. Laugh and smile and see the best in everyone. Look for the good in every situation. Give you time to people and help as many as you can each day. Read some positive literature every day to feed the brain with positive ideas. Herbal tea before retiring. Give thanks for the wonderful day. Have a good nights sleep.

I live a healthy lifestyle as often as I can, though I am human and do slip up now and again! But I get back to it and keep working at it. I love to swim, to cycle and to practice Pilates and I love to get out and about in the sunshine. A healthy lifestyle to me means good, nutritious food, fun with friends and family and a positive outlook on all things.

I have my wonderful honey every morning my solgar vits and a postive attitude and am very thankful for my good health and lots of laughter thats all we need for a great life ..M STEWART.
With a well balanced diet, adequate exercise & rest, plenty of love, laughter & life-long happiness :-)
With a daily 30 minute walk alternating between slow, medium pace and fast or light jog, Pilates and Yoga on Tuesdays and Thursdays .... it's easy to feel good with some exercise which I love built in. Porridge for breakfast with granola and Chia seeds sprinkled on top, dinner in the middle of the day, Solgar Whey to Go in the afternoon with barley grass powder and apple juice and some nuts or dark chocolate to graze on and a "tea" of soya yoghurt and cheese on pimpernickel bread. Wine is only for dining out with friends or an occasion.

I live a healthy lifestyle by doing the small things which make a difference to body and mind but not taking it all too seriously! I take Solgar vitamins with my hearty organic Irish oats in the morning, eat lots of vegetables and fruit, walk to and from work and enjoy the odd glass of red wine!
By actively nourishing every aspect of my life - mental, physical and emotional - in a balanced and regular way and by being mindful of nurturing a positive relationship with the environment and with those around me.
Remember to post a contact email or phone number so we can get in touch with the winner! I will remove this so it is not on public view. Thanks, Sarah

My approach to food is to have porridge with low fat milk and milled seeds and dried fruit nearly every morning (a microwave makes this sooo easy), since I've started doing this about 2 years ago it's made a big difference to feeling setup for the day and it puts hunger pangs 'til lunchtime. At work I make a point of drinking a lot of water and also have at least 3 pieces of fruit. Anytime I feel hungry I eat, so I'm definitely a grazer but I nearly always avoid foods with a high saturated fat content and high sugar content. Also being veggie means that a lot of rubbish food is already off the menu.
I get quite a lot of exercise; one major way is by cycling everywhere which isn't that hard as I'm near the city. I also do a lot of yoga (no discipline to do it on my own, so I have to go to a class) and also usually do a few gym classes (spinning and bodypump) and maybe a bit of swimming.
I then I usually undo all that good work over the course of the weekend!
I love to keep rebalancing myself and my life! I take multivitamins, eat pretty healthily and cook everything from scratch, I walk and swim a few times every week, make sure I have fun and see friends, and I even eat some chocolate (although I'm trying to stick with the 85% cocoa content variety now as apparently that's the best kind for me)! Important to be Healthy AND Happy!!
I try to eat healthy (mabe not so much on the weedend). Get some nice exercise and some gentle yoga and meditation most days. And I'm trying to be on track for a little enlightment so that I can be a better person. Marie Fitzgerald

Eat well, sleep, exercise, laugh, love, be positive and get out into the sunshine when you can!
I think staying healthy depends very much on having a healthy mind, so through meditation I try to keep my mind healthy and happy. I find this leads naturally to adopting a healthier lifestyle and a desire to eat well and exercise. I'm currently training for the mini-marathon which is keeping me nice and fit and full of endorphins!
With great difficulty sometimes.
Daily walks, enough sleep and eat good freshly propared food and try to always look on the bright side of life!
I do my best to eat healthy, a mix of veges, and raw food and organic as often as I can (I'm eating less meat these days and more veges). But don't punish myself when I don't. Right now I'm not eating chocolate and cutting down on sugar and am searching for alternate snack foods! I make sure that I balance out the unbalanced part of my diet with multi vitamins and other supplements til I can get the balance right in my diet. I try to nourish myself body mind and soul in a gentle and loving way.
I think positively and do things I enjoy. I dance regularly, I play, I laugh, I sing... I recycle and try to tread lightly on the earth.

I am conserned about my future health and take responsibilty for it as i do not like to think that i would have to depend on my children for that as god knows they have enough concerns for themselves -jobs family and their future considering the present climate.I take regular excerise by walking and that keeps my dog fit and healthy also . I take omega 3 and a multivitamin once a year also -and eat as healthy as i can -not organic food -but i will try grow my own this year .
I respect nature and my part in it - try to walk everywhere, eat organic food, drink a lot of water, exercise, take long walks and love!
I eat good wholefoods, exercise every other day, drink lots of water and try to laugh as often as possible!
I try to live naturally, eat organic whole foods, respect my body and the earth.
I treat the body holistically - looking after my mind, giving my body healthy food and choosing a calm spirit.

I used to live in dublin from 2002-2005 and drove everywhere! I went away travelling for 2 yrs n realised without the use of a car how much beauty there is right under your nose. I'm home a year now and back living in Dublin, I very rarely use my car now as I walk everywhere and I love it, never really enjoyed Dublin before but I love wandering through the streets on my way to work every morning and evening. I've lost 11pounds in 3 months, kept it off and I feel great! :-) Sheena Devaney

I really do my best to eat healthy! I have a vegetable patch in my garden, and I love picking out the vegetables and making new meals with them, even if I had some disasters in my tine (apparently not everybody likes carrot stew..) A few years ago, my only exercise would merely have been to the sweet shop but now I go for a walk every day and my iPod helps to prevent boredom (thank you Rihanna, you've helped me lose some weight...I can safely say that I will not have your legs anytime soon though) I also make an effort to have healthy desserts, such as sorbet (swanky!) or fruit salads. My heart feels better already ;) Siobhan Daly
