Joining our team is the beginning of an exciting journey. From your very first day, you'll become a part of the Nourish team and be invited to start learning with us through our very own unique Nourish Academy. Here you'll gain confidence in your role, build valuable skills, and discover endless opportunities for growth within our business.

THE NOURISH ACADEMY

The Nourish Academy is our introductory product knowledge and customer experience training, and is mandatory for all team members. It consists of 5 courses, followed in sequence, and delivered in a blended manner.

The 3 key categories covered are:

1. Customer Focus

2. Nutrient and Ailments

3. Nourish Fundamentals

Customer Focus

We’re really proud of our award winning customer experience. We love to share what we know about natural products and go that extra mile to help someone find what they’re looking for.
New team members take part in two Customer Focus Workshops. Certified by CX Change, these workshops give you the tools and knowledge to provide a helpful, friendly and welcoming shopping experience.
This training continues with our Customer Focus Coaching advanced module, so that teams and customers alike can feel valued, informed and happy about their experience at Nourish.

Nutrient and Ailments

We take a unique Holistic Approach when helping customers at Nourish. Our introductoryNutrient and Ailment series will give new team members the knowledge and tools to feel confident speaking with customers about our products.
Our advanced sessions support both new and senior team members. They offer more in-depth learning so you can gain a deeper understanding of a variety of common ailments.

Nourish Fundamentals

As one of Ireland’s leading health food stores with more than 38 years’ experience, we know our stuff. We have worked with experts in their fields to create our own Nourish Supplement and Nourish Skincare ranges. Nourish Fundaments training provides an overview of our two own brand product ranges, their ingredients, formulations and usage.

All About Wholefoods

We also delve into Wholefoods. We are Ireland’s Home of the Wholefood after all. Wholefood is food as it should be. Nothing bad has been added in and nothing good has been taken away. Think grains, nuts, seeds, fruits and veggies!
In these training sessions, you’ll learn about nature’s superfoods, sustainable diets and the nutritional benefits of a wholefood, plant-friendly diet.

Leadership

We want to nurture and develop great leaders. Whether you build a career with Nourish or move on to another field, we want you to build longstanding leadership skills with us so you can inspire, develop and guide a team.
We facilitate Leadership and Management training through in-house bespoke leadership modules. We also work with Retail Excellence and the CPL Institute for further growth and development.

Meet the Makers

Hear directly from our favourite brands, producers and makers. We facilitate over 30 training sessions from our partners. These regular opportunities to speak with the people behind the products can help teams increase their knowledge, ask product specific questions and gain valuable brand insights.

The Nourish Academy is only the start of the learning journey offered for our outstanding teams. We are constantly frowing and evolving our learning portfolio within our specialised training mobile app too!
This is our own resource database with extensive information about wholefoods, natural products, ailments and our Holistic Approach.

Health and Safety

This module provides you with information and instruction on safe manual handling techniques.
Once completed, your certificate will be valid for three years and recognised by all organisations across Ireland.

MEET THE TEAM

Gemma Peek, Product Training and Customer Experience Manager
Gemma is an Associate Nutritionist registered with AfN and is working towards fully registered status (RNutr). She holds a BSc in Nutraceutical in Health and Nutrition from Technological University Dublin (formerly Dublin Institute of Technology) and an MSc in Human Nutrition from the University of Glasgow. 
Gemma worked in both Assistant Manager and Manager positions in our Nourish Jetland store, before joining the Learning and Development Department in 2024. Now working as Product Training and Customer Experience Manager, she is responsible for driving the exceptional Nourish Customer Experience through the education and development of our teams.
