Xylitol is a natural sweetener made from European hardwood(birch or beech) that has about 40% fewer calories than regular sugar. Its sweetness, intensity and texture are however, very similar to those of regular sugar. Due to its very low glycemic index, it is also suitable for diabetics.

Ingredients:

100% Xylitol (E 967), produced from birch or beech (hardwood).

May contain traces of nuts, sesame seeds, peanuts, oats (gluten free) and mustard.

How to Use Product

Directions for use:

  • Use as an alternative to sugar in baking or as a sweetener 
  • Tip: When substituting dry sweetener for a liquid sweetener (xylitol etc., when the recipe calls for maple syrup or honey), for every 1 cup of granulated sweetener, add 1/4 cup of liquid to the recipe (likewise, for every 1/4 cup of granulated sweetener, add 1 Tbsp of liquid)
  • Create a xylitol syrup by warming with some water in a pan
  • Why not try: Macaccino chocolate ganache tart with blueberries
